Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has been a chef and television host in America and a teacher at Institute of Culinary Education. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network. With her trademark spiky blond hair and bubbly personality Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of dining out, and provides concise easy-to-master techniques to cook at home in her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell was a student and worked in the best New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. As a youngster, living in the New York's upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her following her graduation with the Bachelor of Arts in English as well as Communications at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an amazing learning experience for me. The Culinary Institute of America was an excellent place to study. Following her graduation, Chef Burrell went on to spend one year in Italy attending an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. In her time in Italy she came to be aware of the philosophies behind Italian food and culture that has had a profound impact in her perspective. Burrell was a Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board participant, with the goal of to improve the lives of children facing challenges. Burrell also serves as a Juvenile Disease Research Foundation (JDRF) celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of childhood diabetes. Burrell is often a guest to speak at conferences and tours the country to mentor others in her role. Anne, throughout her entire cooking journey, has said that it's an honor to have the opportunity to be able to share this love of life with others.
